During his ruling period, Tippu sultan built this summer palace just for the rejuvenation purpose and named this as Dariya Daulat Bagh. This palace is surrounded by Kaveri River and filled with greenery which impressed Tippu sultan to build a palace here. This magnificent monument is built using 6 glorious Islamic pillars. It is now changed as a museum under the maintenance of Archaeology Department of Karnataka to exhibit the weaponry, currency coins and the oil paintings used during the period. This summer palace is spread across 18 acres of land with gardens having 400 species of flowers which attract the tourist with open hands. Hence it is named as dariya daulat bagh. Our day tour will take you to Ranganatittu Bird Sanctuary which is also called as ‘PakshiKashi”.
