Description

It is one golden opportunity to see a 750 kg gold in one day at a single place.

The first thing that comes to anybody’s mind when you hear the word Mysore is the famous Palace. We native mysoreans do not forget to take our relatives and guest to the Palace and show them the illumination of the Palace. The world famous 750 Kg Golden ambari is the prominent attraction of the Mysore palace. This exhibit is used to carry the golden statues of goddess chamundeshwari. This ambari is put out for the exhibition during the Dasara season for the tourists. Mysore city is also known as Palace city, and this is also one more specialty of the Mysore city. This amba Vilas palace is spread over 72 acres of land consisting of 6 main gateways. To have a complete view of Mysore palace, you have to go near Jayamarthanda gate where one can have a good photographic session that serves as a memorable moment for life. Jayamarthanda gateway is considered as the main gateway out of 6 gateways and located in the direction of the sunrise. A part of the Mysore palace serves as a residence of the Yaduveeradatta Wodeyar. Inside the Palace we can find the exhibits of the Mysore rulers and it’s richness during the period. Even in the 21st century, we can get to see the illumination of the Palace using LED and CFL bulbs. The illumination was started by Nalvadi Krishnaraja to enhance the beauty of the Palace and create employment opportunity for Mysore Lamps factory and to increase the richness of the Palace. Even today our government supplies more than 1 lakh GLS bulbs for this purpose
